How do I track for multiple licenses?

Track multiple licenses in one account
Tracking CE for multiple licenses doesn’t have to be a burden. CE Broker is now used as a tracking tool for the Florida Department of Health, Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board, Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, Georgia Board of Nursing, Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy, Michigan Board of Electricians, Wyoming Board of Psychology, District of Columbia Board of Nursing, North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care and still partnering rapidly to other boards. We’re here to make your continuing education process easier than ever with the option to track for any license associated with those state boards in just ONE CE Broker account.

Here’s how:

1. Create an account. If you haven’t already, sign up with an account of your choice to report CE and confidently track your CE compliance status for all licenses you may hold. Not sure what account you want to have? Read over the accounts below and choose the best option for you:

6f52692a03bea3255e119e39579b2c7ec172fd46583974336dcda829bcb7c8ef8e91640d64bb97b5a3c7c54c3d184c14b6a160a7e31b8a546c66b52a6d77f8a4

The Basic Account includes your course history, which displays all course completions already reported by you or approved educational providers. You can report any additional continuing education and see your compliance status. You’ll need to manually calculate compliance by comparing your completed hours to your Board’s rules and find the gaps (you’ll also need to take into consideration a variety of factors that might change your requirements: license cycle, status, specialties, exemptions, etc.)

8ecbda55416e4f1a681730c220f00aa21b161fd41b5f75a55394f4c0b44a925d21407652e3f41155ae509210f8ff4235fc15dc2227f4f158a6036ed6f8cbe5dc

With the Professional Account ($29 per year) we do all the manual guesswork for you. Your CE Compliance Transcript breaks down your requirements and applies your courses in real time so you can see what’s missing. This will prevent you from taking courses unnecessarily, show you if any of your hours do not actually count, and will guarantee compliance with your Board’s rules when your account reads “Complete.” With this account, you can also access your Transcript on our iPhone &Android apps.

Our Concierge Account ($99 a year) was created for the professional who has a multitude of courses that must be submitted manually.  Your personal account manager reports your CE for you and makes sure you are not short any hours.

2. Log in to your Account.  Adding a license will be different depending on which account type you have. If you have a Basic Account, you can only link two licenses from within the same state. You could not, for example, link a Florida license and a Georgia license. You will also need to call the CE Experts and have them link your other license for you as you will not have the ability to add it yourself. If you have a Professional or Concierge Account, you may follow the directions below. But remember, if you have a Concierge Account, your Personal Concierge Account Manager can link your licenses for you!
Step 1:
Log in to your existing account
Step 2:
Select “+ License/Certification” from the bottom of your Dashboard.
Step 3:
Choose the option to add a license and enter your license number.
Step 4:
Once the CE Experts have verified and linked your licenses, you’ll see each license on your Dashboard. You can view your course history and compliance status for each license by clicking on it.
If you have any questions, contact our awesome team of CE Experts! You can call, email or live chat them anytime Monday-Friday from 8am-8pm.

Common Pharmacy questions for license renewal

Pharmacy - common questions

We get it. License renewal can be confusing. It happens every two years and by the time the next renewal comes around, you’ve forgotten exactly what is required. Or perhaps the requirements have changed. Either way, it’s tough to keep up with everything on top of keeping a full time job and also living your life.

That’s why we’re here. We have many tools for you to utilize…

Our CE Experts got together and discussed the most common questions they have been receiving from Pharmacists during this renewal month. We’ll go over both of them in this blog and hopefully you will have a better understanding of how your requirements work.

Common Question 1: “how do I get courses to CE Broker from NABP?”

In order to record your courses you have completed with the NABP, you will have to self-report those. It’s a very simple process though! Simply log in to your account and select “Report CE Hours.”

Report CE Hours

Then you will select to self report using the category, “Report multiple LIVE courses using NABP activity transcript” or “Report multiple SELF STUDY course using NABP activity transcript” to bulk report all missing courses.

NABP

Once you finish the reporting process, you will see that those hours are recorded in your Course History.

Common Question 2: “What am I missing?”

Whenever the CE Experts are asked this question, very often it is because someone has not completed the medication errors course from Board approved provider. It could be that they completed the course through an ACPE approved provider. Here’s the deal. The Board of Pharmacy recognizes national accreditation from ACPE for most courses (your general hours). But specifically for Medication Errors, the board requires the courses to be approved by the Florida Board of Pharmacy. A course that is only ACPE approved would not satisfy your medication errors requirement

The easiest way to find Florida Board approved providers is to use the CE Broker course search. All providers listed in our course search are board approved and the course will fulfill your requirement. Don’t stress if you have completed an ACPE course and still need to find an approved medication errors course. This requirement does not have to be live and you can complete it online!

Keep in mind that standard renewals require that 10 of your hours must be live. You can search for “live”hours in the course search.

We hope this helps you! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our CE Experts M-F 8-8 (EST) toll free at 877-434-6323.

Top CE Providers for Pharmacists

untitled-infographic_1441906748777_block_2

With Pharmacy license renewal creeping up (by midnight of September 30th), you may be looking for some good educational providers to complete your CE with. We wanted to provide you with a list of some popular providers that report to CE Broker for you. (And why would you want to do that? That means less work for you!) And while these aren’t the only providers you can complete CE through, they are the ones that our CE Experts have noted as being popular among your peers.

1. Pharmacist’s Letter Therapeutic Research Center
2. Freece.com
3. RXSchool
4. Continuingeducation.com
5. Institute for Brain Potential
6. The RX Consultant, Continuing Education Network
7. University of Florida College of Pharmacy
8.  Florida Pharmacy Association
9. Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists
10. Walgreens

Hopefully, you will find just the CE you need through one of those providers above. Just remember that at least 10 of your total 30 hours must be live. However, you can take all 30 hours as live if you choose as well, including your two hours in Medication Errors. What’s important to note is that AT LEAST 10 of your total hours MUST be live.

Course History for Compliance

The Course History is included for free with every type of CE Broker account (Basic, Professional and Concierge). You can use this tool to check your CE Compliance status prior to renewing your license. Use the Course History to stay on track and take the guesswork out of your CE process.

The Course History is a chronological listing of courses that have been reported to CE Broker. It includes courses posted by the educational provider and courses that may have self-reported yourself.

In the image below, you can see that your Course History will include the Course Name, Tracking #, Date Completed, who the course was submitted by, number of hours posted, the transcript name (since the Course History has the availability to track for multiple licenses) and you’ll see the Digital Storage option (available only for the Professional and Concierge Accounts).
