Exciting, New Course Search!

We just improved our Course Search and we know you’re going to love it. It’s going to make your process of finding approved courses that match your search criteria 10 times easier! We’ll just get right to it and explain all the new exciting features.

1. Filter options

There are multiple different ways you can filter your search down so you get the most accurate courses shown to you in your search.

 Filter by Subject Areas:

Filter by subject area

The filter by Subject Area option will allow you to search by any subject area. Only courses that satisfy the subject area you choose will populate for you. The subject area filter will apply in the self-paced section and live section; it will not apply to the provider section.

Filter by Delivery Types:

Filter by deliver types

Choosing to filter by Delivery Type will give you the option to search by the delivery methods that are approved for your profession. This filter only applies to the section that you are currently on. If you are under the self-paced section, only self-paced delivery methods will display. If you are under the live section, only live delivery methods will show. Like the Subject Area filter, this will not apply for the provider section.

Sort By:

The “Sort By” options are the same for both the self-paced and live sections. The only difference is that the live sections can be filtered by location and date. The filter only applies to the section that you are currently on and is not available in the “Provider Section.”

All filter options and the search bar can be combined to narrow down a search. Live courses can be filtered by entering a State, City or Zip code. They can also be filtered by entering a start date. All of these are options to make sure you easily find the perfect course!

Search Bar:

To top it all off, you can always search by key terms to find a specific course by using the “Search bar.” The search term you use will apply to all three sections — “Self-Paced, Live Courses and the Provider Section.”

If are no results under the section you are currently on, but there are results under other sections, you will see a red indicator by that section. You will also see a message that says “We found some results in XXXXXX” and will be given a link to that section.

2. Self-Paced Section:

In this section, you will see a list of all “Self-Paced” courses that are approved for your profession. By default, courses will sort by relevance. In the past, we have referred to “Self-Paced” courses as “Self-Study.” This includes: Audiobridge via Telephone, Audiocassette, CD ROM, Computer Based Training (online courses), Correspondence, Home Study, Mailed Material, Prerecorded Broadcast or Videocassette/DVD.

Course detail of self paced course:

When you see a course that looks compelling, click on it and you will be taken to the course detail page. This will show the information about the course: the type of credit the course is worth, credit hours, provider’s contact number, course tracking number, price, delivery method, a link to register for the course and a description of the course if one is provided. You will also have the option to share this course with your friends via social media!

See a class you may want to take, but you just don’t have time right now? If you are logged into your account, you will be able to bookmark these courses so you can take them at a more convenient time! You can view these Bookmarked courses from within your account.

3. Live Section:

In this section, you will see a list of all live courses that are approved for your profession. Just like in the self-paced section, courses in this live section will by default be sorted by relevance.

Course detail of live course:

When you find a course that you want to take, you can click on that course and see all the necessary information about the course: the type of credit the course is worth, amount of credit hours the course is worth, provider’s contact number, course tracking number, price, delivery method, date the course is being offered, a link to register for the course, a description of the course if one is provided and a location for the course if one is provided by the provider.

You also have the option to share a course with friends who may need the same course through Facebook, Twitter or email. This section will also show you any additional offerings of the same course so you can see if another date fits your schedule better.

4. Provider Section:

This section will give you a list of all the providers that are approved for your profession. Providers will be listed in a randomized order that changes daily and will include the provider’s tracking number, address and phone number (if that information has been provided by the provider).

Provider details:

Once you find a provider you like or want to know more about, click on their profile to see more information. Here, you will see a list of the provider’s number, name, phone number, link to website, boards they are approved for, their expiration date and courses that the provider is advertising.

The courses that show in the provider detail are courses offered by that provider. It will list all of the courses a provider is advertising for your profession. If you see a course you want to take from here, you can click on the course and it will link you to the course details of that specific course.
